Announces Expanded Distribution Channel for Its
S.T.A.R.(TM) Suture Tension Adjustment

Inc. Today announced that the Company has expanded the distribution
channel for their Suture Tension Adjustment Reel, better known as
the S.T.A.R. Device, into the South East United States through Specialty
Surgical Instrumentation, Inc (SSI). The expanded territory will
allow the company’s wound closure/soft tissue repair product
to be sold throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida,
Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. The expanded distribution includes
hundreds of hospitals that SSI has been selling to since the early
seventies. “SSI is one of the largest and most respected medical
device distributors in the United States, We are delighted to have
them representing us in the South East territory. This expansion
will surely impact our bottom line,” said Andrew Reilly, President
of WoundTEK.
The S.T.A.R. device is the first minimally invasive
tissue expansion device; it is one of the most effective methods
for closure of large open wounds caused by trauma or surgery. Its
ability to bring large skin deficits to a linear closure rapidly
has won the device much acclaim since its introduction and it is
rapidly becoming the leading device for most delayed primary closures.
