CASES           Case #5 Reconstructive Abdominal Surgery - Bridgeport, CT           49-year-old-male Abdominal Reconstruction Prior surgery left patient with horrible abdominal disfigurement The case was taken on because of the S.T.A.R.’s ability to close the skin deficit created across the entire abdomen Large protruding abdominal defect had to be surgically removed Total Abdominal Reconstruction included repositioning large and small intestinal path After long intense surgery S.T.A.R.’s were put in place After STAR devices were set in place it took 13 days and the abdominal defect was reduced to a linear closure
