Case #16 Chronic Wound on Heel - Cincinnati, OH.
Patient having chronic complications with heel wound. Granulated wound
margins were debrided and STAR and STAR PADS were placed on wound.
Underlying Matress suture set deep into heel to assure full closure
of wound from base of wound to top layer of tissue. Patinet compliency
is key to succes therefore a bent knee splint is recommended so patients
do not walk on or present pressure to the wound site while STAR is
in place.
